Cypress Bay Marina sits right on Kentucky Lake — one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States. Rent a 2026 Tritoon and explore at your own pace, whether you’re fishing, swimming, or just enjoying a beautiful day on the water.

Cypress Bay Marina & Resort offers spacious tritoon boat rentals perfect for cruising Kentucky Lake, swimming, tubing, sightseeing, and relaxing with family and friends.

Our tritoons provide additional stability, comfort, seating space, and smooth handling for a great day on the water.

Boat rentals are $450 per day plus applicable sales taxes and fuel.

A refundable $250 security deposit authorization hold is required for all rentals.

Additional fees may apply for damages, excessive cleaning, late returns, lost equipment, towing, or policy violations.

Boat rentals are available for full-day rentals only.

Rental hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Boats must be returned to Cypress Bay Marina & Resort no later than 5:00 PM unless prior written approval has been given.

Late returns may result in additional charges.

No. Boat rentals are closed on  Monday & Tuesdays.

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old on the day of the rental.

Only approved operators listed on the rental agreement may operate the boat.

Unauthorized operators are strictly prohibited.

Please bring:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Boating certification (if required)
  • Credit card used for booking
  • Properly fitted child life jackets if needed

Please arrive at least 15–30 minutes before your rental time to complete paperwork, safety reviews, and the boat orientation.

Late arrivals do not extend rental times.

Tennessee boating law requires certain operators to carry proof of boating education certification while operating a rental boat.

Tennessee Residents

  • Tennessee residents born after January 1, 1989 must provide a valid TWRA-issued Boating Safety Education Certificate.
  • Tennessee law requires the official TWRA-issued certificate as proof of successful completion of the boating safety exam.
  • Tennessee residents born before January 1, 1989 are generally exempt from the boating certification requirement.

Out-of-State Residents

  • Out-of-state residents born after January 1, 1989 must provide a valid NASBLA-approved boating safety certificate or equivalent recognized certification.
  • Out-of-state residents born before January 1, 1989 are generally exempt from boating certification requirements.

All operators must provide a valid driver’s license at check-in.

For safety reasons, Cypress Bay Marina & Resort strongly encourages all guests planning to operate a boat to complete boating safety education and familiarize themselves with Kentucky Lake navigation and boating rules before arrival.

Our rental tritoons allow a maximum of 12 people or 1,800 pounds total weight, whichever comes first.

The boat may not leave the dock if the party exceeds the legal capacity limit.

Yes. Adult life jackets are provided.

Guests are responsible for bringing properly fitted life jackets for:

  • Children under 90 pounds
  • Any child under 13 years old

Children must wear life jackets as required by Tennessee law.

Pets are not allowed on rental boats.

If you have a service animal request, please contact Cypress Bay Marina & Resort prior to booking.

Yes, coolers are welcome.

Please help keep the boat clean and remove all trash at the end of your rental.

Glass containers are not recommended onboard.

No. Smoking, vaping, grills, open flames, and similar activities are prohibited onboard rental boats due to fire risk and potential upholstery damage.

No. Grills, propane devices, open flames, or cooking equipment are not permitted onboard rental boats.

Cypress Bay Marina & Resort is located near the Tennessee/Kentucky state line. Boating laws can change depending on which state waters you are operating in.

Guests are responsible for understanding and following all Tennessee and Kentucky boating and alcohol laws during their rental.

Please note:

  • Operating a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs is illegal in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
  • Open alcohol consumption in Kentucky waters can create legal issues.
  • Law enforcement from multiple agencies patrol Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley regularly.

For everyone’s safety, Cypress Bay Marina & Resort strongly encourages all operators and guests to boat responsibly while on the water.

Yes. Rental boats must remain within the approved boating areas reviewed during the safety orientation and shown on the provided rental map or instructions.

Boats are not permitted in restricted, hazardous, shallow, or unauthorized areas, including:

  • Areas near dams
  • Certain tributaries
  • Marked hazard zones
  • Other locations identified by Cypress Bay Marina & Resort staff

The renter is responsible for any towing, recovery, damage, fines, or additional charges resulting from operating outside approved boating areas.

Failure to remain within approved boating areas may result in termination of the rental without refund.

No. Boats may not be beached on shorelines, islands, sandbars, rocky banks, or shallow areas.

Beaching can cause serious damage to tritoons, propellers, and underwater components.

Before departure, Cypress Bay staff will review:

  • Boat operation
  • Safety equipment
  • Navigation rules
  • No-wake zones
  • Fuel procedures
  • Return instructions
  • Approved boating areas
  • Damage responsibilities

Yes, tubing may be available as an add-on depending on availability.

Only approved tubes provided or authorized by Cypress Bay Marina & Resort may be used behind rental boats.

No. Skiing, wakeboarding, and surfing are not allowed behind rental tritoons.

Yes, fishing is allowed.

However, our tritoons are not designed as dedicated fishing boats. Please help keep the boats clean.

Additional cleaning fees may apply for:

  • Excessive fish residue
  • Live bait mess
  • Fish cleaning onboard
  • Excessive dirt or staining

No. Fuel is not included in the rental price and will be charged separately based on usage.

The boat will leave the dock with fuel and must be refueled upon return.

Customers are not permitted to:

  • Bring gas cans onboard
  • Refuel using portable fuel containers

If you experience mechanical problems or need assistance, contact Cypress Bay Marina & Resort immediately using the emergency contact information provided during check-in.

Do not allow unauthorized repairs or towing services.

On-water towing, recovery, fuel delivery, grounding recovery, or operator-error service calls may result in additional fees beginning at $500.

Rental boats must be returned no later than 5:00 PM unless prior written approval has been given.

Late returns may result in additional fees, including but not limited to a charge of $50 per fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled return time.

Renters are expected to return the boat in reasonably clean condition.

Excessive cleaning fees begin at $100.

Additional cleaning fees may apply for:

  • Excessive trash
  • Mud or staining
  • Fish remains or bait residue
  • Vomit or bodily fluids
  • Cigarette or cigar debris, ash, burns, or evidence of smoking/vaping onboard (minimum $250 cleaning and deodorizing fee, which may include forfeiture of the security deposit)
  • Excessive sand or wet equipment left onboard

The renter is responsible for lost or damaged equipment, including but not limited to:

  • Propellers
  • Tubes
  • Life jackets
  • Anchors
  • Dock lines
  • Fenders
  • Bluetooth equipment
  • Seats or flooring damage

Kentucky Lake water levels and underwater hazards can change frequently.

The renter is responsible for damage caused by:

  • Grounding the boat
  • Striking underwater objects
  • Propeller damage
  • Negligent operation
  • Failure to follow marked navigation channels

The renter is responsible for the boat, guests, equipment, towing, damages, fines, and any costs incurred during the rental period.

The $250 security deposit is not a limit of liability.

Yes. Full rental payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your rental.

A refundable $250 security deposit will be charged the day before your rental.

Security deposits are typically returned within 48 hours after the boat is inspected and confirmed to have no damages, missing equipment, excessive cleaning needs, late return fees, fuel charges, or policy violations.

Failure to arrive for a scheduled rental without prior notice may result in forfeiture of the full rental payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of rental time forfeit the full rental fee.
  • Cancellations less than 14 days but more than 48 hours before rental time forfeit $100 plus booking and transaction fees.
  • Cancellations more than 14 days before rental time receive a refund less booking and transaction fees.

Weather cancellations and reschedules are determined solely by Cypress Bay Marina & Resort management.

If conditions are deemed unsafe, we will work with renters to reschedule whenever possible.

Yes. Cypress Bay Marina & Resort reserves the right to terminate a rental without refund if:

  • Safety rules are violated
  • Guests operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • The boat is operated recklessly
  • Unauthorized operators are driving
  • Illegal activity occurs
  • Guests fail to follow marina staff instructions
  • Weather or lake conditions become unsafe
  • Guests operate outside approved boating areas

We recommend bringing:

  • Sunscreen
  • Towels
  • Snacks
  • Drinks
  • Sunglasses
  • Hats
  • Properly fitted child life jackets
  • Coolers

Please avoid bringing glass containers onboard.

Yes. All adult operators and adult guests must complete required waivers and acknowledgments before departure.

A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign all required waivers for any guest under 18 years of age.

For safety reasons, minors may not operate the rental boat at any time.
